Family History

Both Laeena's parents are historians and she is their youngest daughter (actually her eldest sister is 30 years older). They live both in Vulcan and Betazoid, changing homes in equal periods of time so that their children and themselves get as much of both cultures as possible. They never interfered with their children's choices of occupations so when Laeena decided to be a Starfleet officer they welcomed her choice.

Education Background

Laeena had most of her education on Vulcan though she also learned most of what there is to learn about Betazoid history and especially telepathical control. After basic studies she went on to attend 2 years at the Vulcan Science Academy, at which point she quit to join starFleet Academy.

After serving on the Andromeda for a few years, she went back to Vulcan and later Betazed where she continued her Telepathic training.

Medical Profile

Laeena unites both Vulcan and Betazoid telepathic abilities. Initially she had to be in physical contact with someone to hear their thoughts but with training she is now able to communicate telepathically like any Betazoid, although with more effort. She avoids physical contact as that leads to lowering her defenses and sharing her immediate thoughts without control.

She is also an empath, can mind meld and apply the Vulcan neck pinch.

Due to her extremelly white skin she needs sun protetion when going to certain M class planets.
