What the heck is it?

A template frontend used to simplify the roster updating process by pulling relevant information directly from the linked character articles.

Benefits

  • Simplifies the roster updating process by providing a user-friendly frontend to the current, and all future roster designs.
  • Spares the editor from dealing with time-consuming redundancy by requiring the editor to only update the target character article.
  • Promotes uniformity across the ship/station articles by providing a similar roster design.
  • Encourages editors to keep the character articles up to date.

Negatives

  • Requires the character articles to follow the Character Template guidelines.
  • Might cause the ship articles to load slower.
  • Doesn't accept custom positions.

Usage

Position field, CO, XO and so on.
The linked article names must match a working character article while minding the case sensitivity of the article in question. The fields can be either left blank, filled with the word 'Empty' (case sensitive) or filled with the character article. By filling the word 'Empty' you force the field to remain visible which is the only way to enable more than one CIV position as explained below.
SM field.
The name of the SM.
CIVs field, CIV 1, CIV 2 CIV 3 and so on.
Assuming you want to include additional civilian/specialist positions in addition to the regular, CIV position this is where you input them. Keep in mind that you must start with 'CIV 1' (case sensitive) and work your way up, whiling maintain the space between the number and the position. To force the position to always appear even if it's left empty you must define the parameter as Empty (lithely, case sensitive)
