Need a decision/action on this: John McKnight. --CDickinson 21:49, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Eldad, I have begun some pictorial changes on the Techspecs category (replacing the lazy, boring, click-wasting external ship links with uploaded internal images imported from the ASDB site). Rather than sweep through the entire category of available ship classes, I have touched only the Akira, Ambassador, and Defiant articles thus far. I plan to also replace external links with images of all probe types, as well as all auxiliary craft specific to each starship class. Shall I continue or cease these updates? Perhaps you'd be interested in helping me in this endeavour? You may be wondering why I bother with this stuff. Well, it's because I think this wiki ought to be more than just a mere supplement to all websites for the game; it has the potential to be a near across-the-board replacement/one-stop archive for all things ST: ACTD, not just a simple wiki-copy of everything. Thanks. --Kvolt 06:55, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Hey Eldad, sorry for responding so late after your comment in my discussion box. I've only recently been working on the Wiki again, so now I noticed your comment (also you never mention anything at any the missions about it, so :-P). Anyhoo, I distinguish earlier "game seasons" from a January to December point of view because traditionally most Ship Managers / AGMs would stick within that time frame with specific storylines if they went that way (as I tended to do with the Elara), and everyone would usually wrap up most stuff just in time for the "year" to end with an ACTD-Wide. These days, game seasons are a bit more "fluid." Some SMs have an ongoing story plot, or arcs that carry on beyond a traditional year, and it may make more sense to "lop" in their work within one game season. For instance, I considered the end of Nick's run and the few "in between" missions after that which were at the beginning of 2007 the end of the Seleya's 10th Game Season which constituted most of 2006. Etc. -- 23:48 EST 31 July 2007, Mike J
  • I edited my page so it would conform with the template rule as given on the discussion page of the Character template:

RE: Awards "agreed, if you want the awards then either link the users to the correct user page or add them on the bottom somewhere. --Locutus 18:47, 14 June 2006 (EDT)" Could you please revert the page so it shows the awards at the bottom. Thanks Mrahilly 17:42, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Oh, good. It is something that should be shown. I'd love to be a part of the process, where is it being discussed? Mrahilly 18:17, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Quick question since you asked me something about copyrighted images before... can I use this image for something: --Newsfleet Division Manager, Mike Y. 00:16, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Oh by the way, I found something interesting that you may or may not want to explore for our wiki... . I liked the way they did the template. --Newsfleet Division Manager, Mike Y. 18:53, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I have a question about this new roster template that is being used. It seems to be working well so far on my ship, however the roster looks a lot worse when the un-filled positions do not have the blank rank bar in between them. Now the roster looks far more skeletal, and I was thinking maybe instead of having "Empty" as the universal filler for unfilled positions, if we can have "EmptyR", "EmptyY", and "EmptyT" for each department colour. That way when filled with that version of the empty spot, it would show the blank rank in the correct colour. If you look at the USS Afton (My ship) you will see how the roster looks without, and personally I think it looked better the way it was before. Thanks for hearing my idea. -- Derek Walter SM USS Afton, 1840h 30 Nov 2007 (PST)

NPC Character Race Categories

  • Eldad, I understand why you deleted the categories Elasian NPCs and Kriosian NPCs with the reason "please do not create NPC specific race categories for now", but if you go to NPC Characters there are 10 other NPC race categories that should also be deleted if we're truly holding off. Just thought I'd point them out. --Jafo 08:18, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
    • Not any more. --Locutus
      • Works for me. --Jafo 19:10, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
        • Here's 5 more I discovered. --Jafo 13:36, 26 October 2007 (EDT)

My Recent Actions

  • I've wanted to expand the USS Hercules article for a while but did not have the information needed until Mike Y. made the archived posts available on the Newsfleet. Today is the first day I've had time to devote to the project since that happened, and I decided to begin by importing the characters which were assigned to the Herc at any time and constructing the "Former Characters" section. With the idea that I will eventually do the same for other destroyed/inactive ships, I decided to import other characters I came across while pulling in the Herc officers. I'm sorry that this importing seemed erratic and have added a list of my projects on my userpage so that future actions I take will be explained. Edmund 03:18 (UTC) 25 May 2008

You da man

Good job getting to the bottom of that recent changes thing. --CDickinson 20:59, 8 January 2009 (EST)

New Medal

Newsfleet requested a new medal for their fleetwide that just finished... you'll find a new medal with this in it:

"By the request of Capt. Bligh of the USS Montreal, Starfleet Command is pleased to present you with the Revelations Legion of Honor Campaign Medal on behalf of the Federation for serving in the Campaign against the Toqarian Empire in performing peaceful negotiations and military implements on protecting Federation Interests on Stardate 10908.18. In accordance with Starfleet protocols, this award will be recorded on your service record. Congratulations and keep up the excellent work.

  • I'll need Chris's permission to edit his code, give me a day or so. --Locutus 15:41, 24 August 2009 (EDT)
    • We'll work off the wiki to resolve this. --CDickinson 10:44, 25 August 2009 (EDT)
