Family history
Born and raised in London, England; E. Samuel Clemons was always taught the values of "please" and "thank you." His proper upbringing was not one that allowed for the typical activities of a boy's childhood.
From age 6 on, Sam was an avid fencer. He still takes great pride in his abilities with a sword to this day. At age 9, Sam became a big brother. His parents, Charles and Helen, were blessed with a baby girl, Victoria. Sam didn't like the idea of a baby sister at first, but after a few years, Vicky grew on to him. At age 10, his three loves were his guitar, fencing, and his two year old sister. With age, the time they spent together only increased.
A mediocre student at first, Sam rose to the challenge as his education furthered. At 14, however, the Clemons family was struck with tragedy. Charles was killed in a cargo bay decompression accident aboard the U.S.S. Tascam. Sam, though saddened, took the loss in stride. he knew his father, a non-comm. Starfleet officer, wouldn't want Sam's life to suffer because of his father's death.
Continuing his education with great skill, Sam graduated 17th in his class. Shortly thereafter he applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted on his first attempt. his entrance to the Academy put him in a whole new world, with a new opportunity to shine. Originally enrolling in the Science School, halfway through the 1st year, Sam switched to the Engineering/Starfleet Operations School.
In 2nd year, a duel outside of Academy grounds met Sam his first fencing defeat. A real sword dispute with another student occured just beside the Golden Gate Bridge, near the Academy. Sam's defeat earned him an injury in his upper right arm where his opponent's rapier punctured all the muscles and sliced halfway through the bone in Sam's arm. After healing, Sam had an "M" tattooed over the scar in memory of his favorite band-a Twentieth Century rock group, Metallica- and to remind him of the consequences of a missed thrust.
As a 3rd year cadet, Sam served aboard as an Officer-in training on the same ship that is father died on. Placed in the Cadet Abroad program aboard the Soyuz-class Tascam, Sam trained as an Operation and Engineering officer.
Graduated from the Academy, Sam has now risen to all tasks challenged him and should continue to do so with great ability and spirit.
Sam had recently completed the Starfleet Tactical program and can now serve in tactical positions on all Starfleet vessels and otherwise.
