Sarax

Lieutenant Umarollu of the Starfleet Judge-Advocate General's Office was stationed on Starbase 71, an outpost near the Romulan Neutral Zone, for approximately seven years. During the fifth year, he encountered a charming young fellow Andorian woman by the name of Meveleth who had been granted permission by the Federation Science Council to use the Starbase as an observation station for a rare subspace phenomenon that was passing through the sector at the time. The two hit it off very well and were married within two months. Meveleth moved in with her new husband and the two had a child about approximately six months into their relationship. Sarax, named after Umarollu's great-grandfather, lived on the station until the age of two. At that time, Umarollu was promoted to Commander and given command of the Starfleet-run Lor'Vela Memorial Science Academy on Andor. Sarax lived with his mother and father until the age of six, when he was sent to a very prestigious boarding school within Keth Kor (his family's clan). As a consequence of his upbringing, Sarax has a personality even more intense than the average Andorian. He channels that energy into a strong sense of loyalty and duty, while at the same time bearing a very independent personality.
