Family history
Stidd, the son of Stoval and T'Mara showed promise in the sciences at an early age and was fully encouraged by his mentor and friend Seval, then Captain in Star Fleet. Though his parents were not bonded as children they chose to bond Stidd to T'Lar, the daughter of Semlek and T'Nara. The bond was to culminate in a wedding and the birth of 2 children.

Stidd, the youngest of 4 children of Stoval and T'Mara, demonstrated a unique talent in the fields of Quantum Particle Physics Theory. At age 8, he was the youngest to be entered into the Vulcan Science Academy. At 12 he chose to do what others merely considered and he scaled the shear cliffs of Mount Selaya alone. As he continued to grow into the form of a man, his mind continued to grow even stronger still.

It was during this time that Ambassador Chelvek began teaching him the full workings of the computer, from building and repairing to the art of programming. Stidd learned well from the Ambassador and still kept his grades up in the academy, graduating in the top 5% of his class, at age 15. At 17, he was asked to teach at the academy. The youngest professor there, Stidd fit right in and showed great strength of charactor. At age 23, with the Ponn Farr upon him, he bonded formally with T'Lar, who was in her own right becoming an influential member of Vulcan politics.

During the Ponn Farrs that followed the bonding Stidd and T'Lar had looked forward to there being children to carry on in the Vulcan ways. The first was Semaj. A fine strapping young man, he grew up and chose the path of Star Fleet. He was sent aboard the USS Archemedes, a science vessel. Stidd and his son have been reunited and there still remains a mystery over the disappearance of the crew of the Archemedes but SF is not revealing anything at this time.

2.5 years into the voyage, the Archemedes stopped transmitting any signals back to SFHQ. The USS Calcutta was sent to investigate and what they found remains a mystery to this day. The USS Archemedes was found with all lifepods in place and no apparent problems with any of the shipboard systems. There was no signs of a mass beam out, yet not one member of the crew was found aboard her, alive or dead.

The youngest of Stidds 2 children is his daughter, T'Vash. She is following in the path of her mother, who comes from a long line of ancient princes and princesses, kings and queens. T'Vash has been building upon her education and has developed quite a solid base in logic. After Stidd entered Star Fleet Academy, around the time of his sons disappearance, she entered the VSA and has been building herself up in the sciences and in the political sciences as well. She has been attending since the age of 17 and is recieving top marks from all the professors there.
Education
Although Stidd was not the highest scoring applicant, he was one of the most interesting. His use of logic and of his knowledge of computers proved no match for the computerized tests of the entrance exam. "He not only was quick with his answers but he was able to help the other applicants out with some problems as well. A most fascinating individual." This is not what made him the perfect candidate for Star Fleet, however.

The part in which Mr. Stidd excelled was the Psychological Test. "When faced with letting someone die, Mr. Stidd took a very unorthodox approach to the problem. One that I have never seen an applicant use before." Though Star Fleet cant answer the question of just what Stidds test consisted of, one thing is certain, Stidd outperformed all other candidates in this area, not once losing his head and getting the job done. He was accepted into the academy that year.

"From the time I first saw him during the entrance exams, I took a special interest in him, though I didnt know why at the time. It wasnt until I looked at his application for admission that I knew what it was I saw in him, his mentor and sponsor, then Capt. Seval. I knew then that he would be a special one for Star Fleet to have." Stidd not once looked for special favors or privileges for or from the Star Fleet Staff, and if he thought he was getting any, he would let you know that it was not appreciated at all, in the firm but courtious Vulcan way. Some of his fellow cadets soon learned that beneath that Vulcan exterior was a person that had his own brand of humor and could use it to ease any situation they were in, as seen in the Kobiashi Maru test.

During that test, Stidds use of wordplay and logic not only gained him the title of the first to ever beat the no win scenario on its terms, but to do so with style. He went on to graduate in the top 25% of his class.

Editor's Note:James Tiberius Kirk is the first man to ever beat the no win scenario, however he did it by reprogramming the test. Stidd did it by logically arguing his point with the Romulan officer the computer generated on the screen, hence his being the first to beat it on its terms.

"Assimilation is complete..."

The website and the ODN are no longer separate entities. No jumping from one site to the other to get information. We have added to our technological distinctiveness to become one. The process of rebuilding the front-end is still ongoing. Making "a" website... that's easy. Making a website that uses all our content over decades... that's hard.
