Kezia was raised by Ben and Hannah Lorrimer on Betazed. She learnt about her parents during a chance encoutner with a being named Selene whilst serving on the U.S.S. Elara. This connected her with her sister Toni Nayiza and an ill fated hunt for her real parents.
Peter had met her at the worst of times yet he'd been the only rock she had found for such a long time, in the beginning counselling him, to reluctantly being save by him, their relationship grew in the strangest of ways and yet it was over far too soon.
It had been 8 years & she would never comprehend if her was dead or alive. she feared the worst.
But kept the name and wanted to go onboard this ship as anyone but the weak person who first boarded the USS Elara.

Kezia is medicaly trained on Betazed, continuing her studies to specialise in Psychiatry.
Although a trained psychiatrist she has taken more time to study and fcus on her interests which are Clinical and Bio Psychology.
Kezia's biggest challenge came when she first graduated and encountered a yound betazoid named Tanya, whose power of telepathy was so intense and uncontrolled that it led her to take her own life, this marked the start and nearly the end of her career.
