Spike Angelus Laredo

Spike Angelus Laredo was born straight into Starfleet, the child of two Starfleet staff members, Spike was well known in the Academy. His El-Aurian mother, Mariene Laredo worked as an Astrometrics instructor in the Academy, while his Human/Romulan father, T’Nok Laredo was a General Starship OPS instructor, teaching cadets many skills needed aboard a starship. Laredo received his primary education in San Francisco and then took off traveling the galaxy. Spike traveled until he was 35, and then moved back to Earth. He was introduced to Christy Summers-a new instructor of Galactic Anthropology at the academy-through his mother and they courted for two years until they married when he was 37 and she was 26. Laredo was accepted to Starfleet Academy at age 38. He attended and took classes preparing for tactical posting on starships. At 41, he and Christy were pleased to discover they were pregnant with a baby-girl. Christy continued teaching right up until a week before her due date. By that time Spike was 42. Daughter, Ana-Marie was born on 9905.19. The birth of his daughter came at a terrible price. His beloved wife, Christy, died giving birth to their daughter at age 32. Laredo only had one month to go before he graduated from the academy. He finished his studies and became inactive to raise his daughter on the grounds of the Presidio in San Francisco. Now that Ana-Marie is of an educational age he intends to return to active duty and take his first posting with his daughter on ship with him.
