Personal History:
Brock was born on earth to a young couple that really weren't ready for children. They were not married and left their son on the doorstep of the Happy Faces Orphanage in Washington, DC. He felt alone in his life until one day, he was befriended by a Star Fleet Officer, one Commander Bowman, that often came to visit him and encourage him. In an effort to please his friend, Brock excelled in his studies. He was not much for sports, but his academic achievements led him to graduate early. He was given a research grant and spent the next 10 years trying to develop a way to improve sensor range capability. He later learned of the untimely death of Commander Bowman. Brock decided he too would be a Star Fleet Officer and follow in the footsteps of the man who became his pseudo father figure. Giving up his research grant, He entered the Academy.
Upon graduation, Ensign Brock was assigned to the USS Harpoon, a scout vessel as a junior engineer. He wasn't very satisfied with his job assignment and convinced his commanding officer to transfer him to a science vessel, the USS Siberian as a science officer. His CO quickly realized Brock's extensive knowledge in the field of science, especially sensor technology. Just over one year serving aboard the USS Siberian, Brock was given the position of Chief Science Officer. This gave him the opportunity to continue his research on sensor technology. This proved to be very critical when during what at first seemed to be an ordinary study of a spatial anomaly near the Romulan border turned out to be a new cloaking technology. Brock was testing an enhancement he had developed for the sensors when they detected energy traces consistent with antimatter engines in the anomaly. This provided enough warning for the CO to prepare for the attack that ensued. Brock was awarded the Star Fleet Command Commendation for Gallantry. This led to his early promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. Brock was assigned to the Sensor Research Station 33 as the Chief Science Officer. Here, Brock was promoted to full Lieutenant. He quickly became bored of the routine life aboard the research station. He longed for more excitement. Time after time he requested a transfer from his CO. Eventually, his request was granted. He was transferred to a remote station known as The Gap - Abertura Station - as the Chief Science Officer. After serving on Abertura, Brock was transferred to the USS Tal-War as their Chief Medical Officer.

"Assimilation is complete..."

The website and the ODN are no longer separate entities. No jumping from one site to the other to get information. We have added to our technological distinctiveness to become one. The process of rebuilding the front-end is still ongoing. Making "a" website... that's easy. Making a website that uses all our content over decades... that's hard.
