M’Tor son of K’mtar of the House of Rustazh was born on SD 8008.30 on the Klingon colony Khemera.
At age 3 parents were sent to the Vulcan colony Nisus as part of a scientific exchange program.
His father is a professor at the University of Nisus, his mother an engineer who is doing research at the Institute of Technology.
At age 10 participated at succeeded in the traditional Vulcan survival ritual the Kahswan.
At age 12 became the youngest master of the klingon game of klin zha. (Klingon Chess).
He pursued his studies while participating in many competitions of klin zha on the Klingon home world and its colonies.
As a pass time he began to study raLk'jo bat'leth discipline, the ancient school of martial combat.
He mastered the Repose of the Dragon's Teeth third level, an especially high level of mastery.

He applied to the Klingon academy but was refused. It seems an old enemy of his father wielded enough power to block his application.
As he was contemplating his options on Nisus, he met and fell in love with T'Mir a Vulcan.
It was her suggestion that got him to apply at Starfleet Academy.
His parents did not approve of his choice but they supported him anyway in his decision.
T'Mir and M'Tor decided to put their relationship on hold.
T'Mir would be going to the Vulcan Science Academy in 2 years while M'Tor would be assigned somewhere.
They both decided that waiting until both of them were clear on their futures.
It was the only logical thing to do.
Returned to Starfleet Academy to do a supplementary course in the sciences on SD 10107.28
