Ayla Darvo

Ayla is the only child to David and M'leya Darvo. M'leya being a Deltan wouldn't normally wed a human, however David Darvo was the exception.

He was a member of the rescue team that boarded a derelict Deltan schooner. Running a quick bio-signature scan, his tricorder located only one life sign back towards the cargo hold. It was M'leya. She had hid from the Orion raiding party, which was a fruitless measure on her part. The raiding party had their way her mates, leaving all three of them dead. When they finally located M’leya, the largest, ugliest Orion threw her across the hold, as if she were a rag doll that some bored child had discarded. She was brutally beaten and left for dead, until David and his team boarded the schooner. Three years later, David and M’leya gave birth to their daughter Ayla.

Ayla was a hybrid. She favored her Human father more than her Deltan mother. Ayla, unlike full Deltan’s, had a full head of pure white hair. What she did retained from her mother’s Deltan side was the ability to secrete the powerful pheromones that some male species found so intoxicating.

Being a hybrid, Ayla wasn’t bound by any agreement to celibacy. She would never allow the pheromones to get in her way of what she wanted most. She was a hard-core, by the book Starfleet Officer and would never allow any type of relationship to get in her way of what she wanted most. Some crew would whisper behind her back, that she has as much warmth as an ice cube.
