Family history
From the moment they were born, Toran and Pakh were inseperable. Born on a Starship but raised on Vulcan, the twins are the latest generation in a long line of honorable service to Starfleet. Their father, Seamus, is the son of the famed Admiral Kaflam O'Bannon, who was assassinated in 2281. Seamus, who is lobbying for a seat on the Federation Council, is commanding officer of the USS Compton Haverly, NCC-62907, a Galaxy-Class Starship assigned to Starbase 442. Their mother is a full blooded Vulcan and is only the third generation to have left Vulcan for space. She attended the Academy, but withdrew from Starfleet before graduation in order to marry Seamus.Tevas, who remained on Vulcan, could not bear the seperation from her husband while he was in space, and so the two divorced when the twins were only six. Though the twins have a Vulcan sense of logic, their brother, Garth, opted to go with Seamus on space missions. The two have been relatively out of contact with their father and brother for almost twenty years now.
Education
In 2357, Toran and Pakh attended the Vulcan Science Academy after finishing their basic schooling. She attended for twelve years and eventually earned a doctorate in quantum mechanics, warp theory, computer operation, and exobiology. Though not initially interested in Starfleet Academy, due to the effects space life had on their family, they were eventually impressed by the benefits of attending and becoming a Starfleet Officer had. They enrolled and were immediately pegged as amongst the best. Toran, who majored in sciences, was a modest person. She intentionally calculated the percentages she would need to pass with to just miss being either valedictorian or salutatorian. When questioned about this by an instructor, she simply replied that, "Such competition is illogical."
Medical profile
Toran is a very healthy Vulcan female with a relatively unimpressive record of illness, injury, or health concerns. It seems, however, that she shares an empathic link with her sister, Pakh, which has caused undue distress at points in time.
