Family history
Rhet's father was a skilled woodworker, and his mother was a weaver. When he was nine, he went off to play with the other children, and when he came back, his family had been murdered by Cardassians. He ran off with an uncle and joined a resistance cell, helping out around the base and learning basic first aid and engineering. When the Occupation ended, the local monks took in the war orphans. Rhet excelled in secondary school and graduated at the age of sixteen. He then lived as a monk for eleven years, studying and praying constantly, before deciding that the monastery was not for him.
Education
Rhet received a basic primary education before he joined the resistance, and got a secondary education from the local monks. At the monastery, he received the equivalent of a college Master's degree in theology and history. He then attended Starfleet Medical School and was assigned to the USS Afton for his residency.
Medical profile
Rhet is physically healthy, but the trauma of his youth and his time in the monastery have left him extremely self-conscious and socially awkward, particularly around females (the monastery was all male).

"Assimilation is complete..."

The website and the ODN are no longer separate entities. No jumping from one site to the other to get information. We have added to our technological distinctiveness to become one. The process of rebuilding the front-end is still ongoing. Making "a" website... that's easy. Making a website that uses all our content over decades... that's hard.
