Family history
The Townsend's family history is vast. Both Markus's mother and father met while serving aboard the U.S.S. Pretoria. Peter Townsend was the Chief Engineer and Elaine Townsend was the Flight Control Officer at the time. After marrying and having their first two children onboard the Pretoria, Jennifer and Thomas, both transferred to the U.S.S. Appleton where Elaine gave birth to Markus and his younger sister Catherine. Markus was raised on the U.S.S. Appleton, U.S.S. Cincinnati as well as Starbase 95. Both Markus's parents have always severed together on the same ship or station, especially when raising their children. Now both of Markus’s parents live on Earth as instructors at Starfleet Enlisted School and Starfleet Flight School.
Education
Started his education as a Star Fleet Crewman Apprentice with an Apprenticeship as an Operations Crewman before transferring credits to Star Fleet Academy and being educated in with a specialized major in Mission Operations with minors in Flight Control Operations and Systems Operations.
