Family history
Father Sergei is an art dealer. Mother Yelena is a newscaster for FNN. Sister Ekaterina “Kitty” is the head CNS aboard the USS Chamelion (her husband Austin Ilsmith captains the Chamelion). Brother Alexei was also a competitive diver; recently graduated medical school in St. Petersburg, Russia, Earth; now working as a resident physician at the Hospital of St. Petersburg.

Svetlana and her brother Alexei were extremely close growing up, due to their shared passion for diving (Svetlana also did competitive gymnastics early on, but stopped when she reached the top competitive levels of diving, using it only to help her train). She always looked up to her sister Kitty (7 years her senior), but also wanted to distinguish herself from her, a high achieving scholar. Although she did well in school as well, Svetlana concentrated more on her athletics (something at which Kitty was not highly adept). She competed in the 2372 Summer Olympics in Orlando, Florida, Earth at the age of 17 as a diver. Svetlana placed third in the 10M Platform event, but was forced to withdraw from the 3M springboard event after she sustained a severe ankle injury during the preliminaries. Her brother was fifth in the men’s 10M platform and second in the men’s 3M springboard.

After the Olympics, distraught over her withdrawal from the 3M springboard event, Svetlana decided to concentrate more on her studies and less on her athletics. She was accepted to the University of St. Petersburg, where she studied linguistics for two years before transferring to Starfleet Academy. Shortly after she entered, her sister’s ship was MIA, having fallen through an unstable wormhole (the Chamelion made it back to Earth approximately six months ago). To both honor and distinguish herself from her lost sister at the academy, she studied psychology, but left it as one of her two minors (linguistics was the second, though those studies were completed in St. Petersburg), and majored instead in engineering.

Svetlana is also a Russian Orthodox Christian.

Medical profile
No serious illnesses or allergies. In good physical condition. Svetlana severely sprained her ankle during the 3M springboard preliminaries at the 2372 Olympics in Orlando, forcing herself from the competition. The injury has since healed, though psychologically, Svetlana still regrets not having been able to complete the second event. Mentally, she’s otherwise very fit, and knows how work under a lot of pressure, thanks to her prestigious athletic career.

Broke her arm at age 11. Remnants of the injury can be detected on medical scans, but is healed properly.

Heartrate: 50 beats/minute (falls within normal range for a well-conditioned athlete)
Bloodpressure: 110/70 (falls within acceptable norms)
Blood Type: A positive
Respiration: Normal
Other
Petite and muscular, but not overtly so. Well proportioned and very limber from years of gymnastics and diving. Speaks with a barely detectable Russian accent that becomes more prominent under fatigue or emotional distress.

"Assimilation is complete..."

The website and the ODN are no longer separate entities. No jumping from one site to the other to get information. We have added to our technological distinctiveness to become one. The process of rebuilding the front-end is still ongoing. Making "a" website... that's easy. Making a website that uses all our content over decades... that's hard.
